Al Buoni, Chief Executive Officer

Al Buoni has more than 25 years of progressive technical, corporate, and executive management experience. Managing efforts across numerous programs for Federal civilian and defense agencies, Buoni has first-hand knowledge of the spectrum of technical, operational, and policy issues managers face in today’s complex regulatory environment. Currently, Buoni manages the Program Management Office supporting Manpower and Reserve Affairs within the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Army.

Throughout the last 15 years, Buoni supported diverse programs within the Department of Defense, such as the Strategic Environmental Research and Development Program within Defense Research and Engineering, as well as research in technical, regulatory, and economic analysis of emerging environmental and biotechnical technologies for the Director of Environmental and Life Sciences. Buoni also supported numerous technical programs for the Department of Energy including technical, regulatory, and policy evaluations under the provisions of the National Environmental Policy Act. In addition, he led efforts under the Worldwide Environmental Services for the Air Force Center for Environmental Excellence as well as logistics and distribution management services for the Defense Logistics Agency and the Environmental Protection Agency.

Buoni has a graduate degree in Public Health and a Project Management Professional certification.

Chuck Roth, Vice President, Business Development

Chuck Roth has more than 30 years of sales and business development management experience in the Federal Information Technology (IT) market. Throughout the past 10 years, Roth was instrumental in leading the teams that won and managed several large U.S. Army IT contracts. Two such contracts, the Army Digital Switched Systems Modernization Program and the Army Infrastructure Modernization Program, helped to elevate Army voice and data systems to state-of-the-art solutions at Army forts, camps, and stations. Roth’s team also won the Army Long Term Life Cycle Support for Nortel Switched Systems Contract, which currently maintains and upgrades Nortel voice and data systems throughout the Army. Previously, Roth was Vice President of Federal for Network Associates (now McAfee). While with the company, Roth grew firewall and antivirus system sales in the Federal space, guiding Network Associates to its current market leadership position.

Roth has managed business development, sales, proposal, and sales engineering staffs throughout the last 30 years and continues to search out the best solutions for US2's Federal customers. Roth is a University of Florida graduate and was a Captain in the U.S. Army. He graduated from Artillery OCS at Fort Sill, Okla. and served in Vietnam with the 1st Infantry Division and at the U.S. Army School Europe in Oberammergau, Germany, during his tour of duty.
